Wrapping Up 2025 With Gratitude

A Note from Kevin
As we reach the end of 2025, I find myself reflecting on what has been both a challenging and meaningful year for our industry. Many builders, trades, and homeowners have felt the effects of a tougher market, and navigating this landscape hasn’t been easy. Yet through it all, I’ve been reminded of the strength, resilience, and dedication of our team, partners, and community.
Throughout this tougher than normal market, our team has once again risen to the occasion and I am super proud of the wins we have accomplished together. We won Custom Home Builder of the Year at both the CHBA-BC Georgie Awards and HAVAN Awards, as well as doubling up at the HAVAN Awards and winning Renovator of the Year. We completed 15 projects, graduated 2 red seals, while supporting 7 apprentices through the BCIT Carpentry apprenticeship program, and our spring break and summer student programs were adopted by CHBA-BC for the Homebuilders Initiative to help grow more tradespeople. We also threw an incredibly successful Movember in June Golf Tourney that helped us raise over $53,000 for men’s health, which brings our all time total just shy of $300,000 (but there’s still time to donate and get us over $300K!). All and all, a year we can be incredibly proud of, and one we can build on as we move into next year.
On a personal note, I’m honoured to have been appointed Vice Chair of HAVAN for 2025/26. It’s a privilege to serve in a role that advocates for the future of homebuilding in BC, and I’m grateful for the support that made this possible.
As we wind down for the holidays, I hope each of you is able to enjoy some well-deserved rest and time with friends and family. Our office will be closed from Dec 23-Jan 2, and we look forward to recharging before heading into an exciting new year.

Project Spotlight: Burnaby Heights
Our Burnaby Heights custom home is progressing smoothly, and we’re well on our way to hitting lockup before Christmas. Roof membranes are complete so we can start to see the tarps come off, framing is wrapping this week, and we are starting to prep for the building envelope and window install. Really looking forward to seeing all the trades start to roll on the inside of the house in the new year!
Our clients put a lot of thought into this design, and we’re making sure every detail reflects their vision – both for how they want to live now and how the home will serve them in the years ahead.

Project Spotlight: Oakwood
We’re incredibly proud to showcase our Oakwood Project, a renovation where thoughtful design and purposeful choices transformed this post-war rancher into a warm, character-filled home.
From the street, the change is immediate. A welcoming garden entry and bright new windows open the home to natural light, while the expanded bay window now frames a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape. A rebuilt roof and upgraded building envelope ensure durability and comfort for decades to come.
Inside, every detail was considered. Heated radiant floors, updated insulation, and a new on-demand tankless water heater create an energy-efficient, comfortable space year-round.
Our Oakwood Project is a testament to what’s possible in a smaller footprint when creativity, care, and craftsmanship come together.

We’re grateful for the care, generosity, and steady presence they bring to Twin Lions every day!
Congratulations, Morgan
Last week, we celebrated Morgan’s 10 years with Twin Lions. A milestone that says as much about him as it does about the culture he helped shape. Morgan is the kind of person you can count on: steady, thoughtful, patient, and deeply invested in the people he works with.
Over the years, he has supported apprentices, collaborated closely with teammates, and been someone others naturally turn to for guidance. His sites run smoothly because he leads with respect and care, not to mention his skill as a Red Seal Carpenter.
When he’s not on site, you’ll find him on the trails, bringing that same grounded determination to the ride.
Thank You, Will
This month, we say goodbye to Will after nearly nine years with Twin Lions. Over that time, Will has been part of countless projects, supported so many team members, and built strong relationships that won’t be forgotten. As our Sales Manager and part of our senior leadership team, Will has been instrumental in the growth of Twin Lions both culturally and professionally.
He’s heading back to the UK to be close to family while he raises his own, and while we’ll miss seeing him day-to-day, we’re grateful for the time we had together and the contributions he made along the way. We wish him all the best as he begins this next chapter!
Movember Recap
This year’s Movember efforts were our strongest yet. With incredible support from our team, partners, and community, Twin Lions raised $53,732, bringing our lifetime total to over $298,000!
A huge part of this success came from our Movember in June Charity Golf Tournament, which brought together over 140 golfers and raised more than $26,000 on its own. It is a powerful example of what our community can accomplish when we show up together.
From the tournament, to our Trivia Night at Wildeye Brewing, to individual contributions across our team, every effort helped push forward the conversation and support around men’s health.
Thank you for standing with us in this cause. Together, we’re making a real difference!
December Community Impact
The holiday season is always a meaningful time for us at Twin Lions and a chance to show up for our community, support local families, and give back in ways that reflect our values. Our team is proud to contribute to events and programs that strengthen the neighbourhoods we build in.
LVCA’s Parade of Trees
Our team has proudly supported the Lynn Valley Community Association’s Parade of Trees for more than a decade. Each year, Twin Lions volunteers help with tree placement and assist with setup to bring this beloved community event to life. We also sponsor a tree at the Forest of Miracles in Dundarave, decorating it together with our team and their families, a tradition we look forward to every holiday season.
This December, our team came together in two important ways to support families across the North Shore. We once again participated in HAVAN’s Coats for Kids campaign, helping collect gently used and new coats, scarves, gloves, blankets, and toys for the Lower Mainland and Surrey Christmas Bureaus. This is a long-running initiative that brought in over 3,000 items last year.
At the same time, our team has been organizing a holiday Food Bank Drive, wrapping up the week of December 18. We’re grateful to our team and community for stepping up and helping make the season brighter for those who need it most.
