Lead Hands

We’re looking for lead hands who have 5+ years of experience working in residential construction, enjoy problem solving and building relationships with clients and trades, and are inspired leading a team of dependable, honest, and supportive carpenters. 

Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications such as blueprints, drawings, instructions, and spec sheets
  • Natural attention to detail and strong mechanical skills
  • Red Seal Certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with construction management software
Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute day to day carpentry tasks on site, while mentoring carpenters and apprentices
  • Adhere to project schedule and budget in collaboration with project managers
  • Liaise on site with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients 
  • Prepare sites for project execution, ensuring high quality and safety standards are met

Carpenters

We’re looking for dependable, hardworking, and professional carpenters with 2+ years of residential construction experience, who have an eye for detail and a knack for problem solving. A Red Seal certification, and an openness to learning from others, is a bonus!

Requirements
  • Strong carpentry skills and ability working to a high level of quality and detail
  • Effective communication and adaptability when working across team environments
  • Experience interpreting technical specifications
  • Desire to learn, with a growth mindset and professional demeanor
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel the North Shore
Responsibilities
  • Perform general carpentry tasks, such as site preparation, demolition, forming, framing, and finishing
  • Support project managers, lead hands, trades, and clients
  • Maintain a clean environment and work within each site’s safety requirements
  • Work collaboratively to promote team development by mentoring and training Carpenter’s Helpers and Apprentices

We also provide employees with certain equipment including tools, computers, cell phones, or vehicles to assist employees in the performance of their duties.

Vacation and Time Off

While all new employees are eligible for two weeks’ paid vacation, our offices typically close for a week in December, providing even more time off to spend with friends and family. We also have a Flex Friday schedule in the summer, with every other Friday off!
