Transforming a dated 40-year-old condo into an award-winning, elegant space for our retiree clients involved a significant amount of complex structural work, innovation, meticulous planning, and careful design. Major work involved dropping the ceiling 3-1/2 inches to accommodate recessed lighting, Lutron home automation and a hidden channel for recessed window-coverings throughout. Removing the wall separating the kitchen and dining room created space for two wall ovens, a full-height pantry wall and glass topped, built-in buffet. This bright, entertainment-style kitchen features a massive island incorporating a down-draft vent for induction cooking, waterfall edges and bar seating. The condo’s reconfigured design included two new open-concept offices, new bathrooms, new flooring and new fully-integrated lighting and electrical systems. Custom-stained walnut used throughout for flooring, millwork and custom-built furnishings brings warmth to a predominantly white-on-white colour palette. Many more features abounded in this sensational renovation. Our clients were over the moon!
