A complete modernization of our client’s 60’s home was the task here. This busy professional couple needed an affordable way to improve flow and functionality and to create additional space especially as their children will soon be teenagers! Deciding to add a whole new upper floor helped immensely. Square footage increased by 1200 and extensive exterior remediation of the foundation, perimeter drainage and rain-screening added substantial value to their home. This impressive renovation delivered a bright, open new kitchen and great room on the main level – perfect for entertaining friends and family – and allowed for considerable new storage options including a dining room coffee bar and cabinetry. Upstairs, the master suite was enlarged to include a lovely, large ensuite, the main bath was reconfigured with a skylight added, the laundry room was revitalized, and, to the future teenagers’ delight, a new family room/hangout was created. Amongst many other improvements, a previously unused, sunken garage was removed and rough-ins were built in anticipation of a future legal suite. We were thrilled that this beautiful renovation became an award-winner for us!
