Originally planned as a renovation, the existing dated North Vancouver post and beam home just didn’t have much to offer. A new home with a mortgage helper to offset the cost difference was suggested, and our Burnage Net-Zero Ready project was born. This groundbreaking net-zero-ready home aligns with a commitment to comfort, sustainability, and unmatched energy efficiency. This home is a testament to the future of conscientious living, combining cutting-edge technology with eco-friendly principles. The commitment to energy efficiency is apparent in every facet of this net-zero-ready home. Insulated concrete form (ICF) foundation, Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS), and triple-glazed windows create an envelope that minimizes energy loss and creates a quiet, comfortable escape for our clients. Fossil fuels were cut off to the home, and provisions for a solar grid were installed, creating an all-electric sustainable home that is primed for an energy-conscious future. While sustainability was a driving factor of this build, design was never secondary. Inspiration was taken from the old West Coast Post and beam home, allowing the play of light and wood to harmoniously unite and create a captivating, inviting haven. A truly one-of-a-kind home that our client will enjoy for years to come.
