Welcome to our Wilding renovation project.
This whole-home renovation transformed a beloved family home into a resilient, energy-efficient space built for the future.
Every design decision focused on sustainability – balancing performance, comfort, and cost-effectiveness. The result: a home that’s safer, more efficient, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80%.
Outside, the dated stucco was replaced with non-combustible, durable materials that meet local wildfire DPA requirements, improving both safety and longevity. Updated windows, skylights, and siding enhance the building envelope, while upgraded insulation and a renewed roof significantly improved energy efficiency and year-round comfort.
Inside, strategic reconfigurations opened the main floor for better flow and natural light. High-efficiency fireplaces, upgraded mechanical systems, and improved ventilation create a healthier indoor environment. Every detail – from millwork to materials – was chosen for durability, performance and comfort.
Beneath the surface, new electrical, plumbing, and insulation systems lay the groundwork for long-term sustainability. These incremental changes, made with thoughtful intent, collectively deliver major gains in resiliency, efficiency, and reduced carbon emissions – without prohibitive costs.
This project proves that with the right knowledge and team, it’s easy to integrate sustainability into any renovation. Simple swaps and smart upgrades make a lasting difference, creating a home that’s comfortable, safe, and built to last for generations.
