Transforming their Westcoast-style home into a bright, contemporary, open-concept living space was an absolute must for our clients in order to meet their expanding family’s needs and to create a casual yet sophisticated place to entertain. Significant structural work was required to open up the segregated, boxy main floor including the removal of partition walls between the kitchen, staircase and dining room; reclaiming eight inches from the laundry room to create space for new kitchen “must haves”; and shifting the existing kitchen window to allow the installation of a second window, symmetrically framing a new industrial gas range. Along with a gorgeous new custom kitchen, we created a fun, new bar area, and a stunning floor to ceiling concrete fireplace surround. Well-planned and practical new laundry and mud rooms completed this inspiring project for happy clients. A show-stopping award winner!
