Cortez Crescent
Our clients loved where they lived, but their dark, dysfunctional 80’s home needed help. This beautiful home renovation included a complete reinvention of their kitchen, family room and front-entry, achieving their vision of an open-concept main floor, perfect for entertaining friends and family. A significant excavation in the back of their home created space for their dream, custom-designed kitchen, and a massive 16-foot sliding door across the family room was installed to seamlessly integrate indoor and outdoor living.
The central stairway, entry, and exterior of the home also underwent a full transformation. Thoughtfully designed and fully renovated, this home has won several regional, provincial, and national awards.

The Scope of Work
Fully Equipped Kitchen
Featuring flat-panel rift-cut oak custom cabinetry and classic quartz countertops, this kitchen remodel involved adding a 100 sqft extension to open up the space. With beautiful oak hardwood floors throughout and matte black fixtures and hardware, this contemporary kitchen comes fully equipped with high-end appliances and a built-in wine cooler.
Existing skylights were retained and incorporated into the design, a large window was added to the new end wall, and a massive kitchen island that comfortably seats eight finishes off this space.
High-end Bathrooms
With flat panel horizontal grain rift-cut oak cabinetry, polished square quartz countertops, and ceramic shower tiles, this home’s three bathrooms underwent a complete refresh.
The powder room and two upstairs ensuite bathrooms were reconfigured and completely transformed as well. Rounding out these rooms were custom millwork storage vanities and built-ins throughout.
Moody Family Room and Showpiece Fireplace
The family room renovation involved demolishing exterior walls to make space for this gorgeous Grandview multi-slide patio door that opens up to the backyard. Black horizontal grain rift-cut oak was used to create the fireplace wall, and the concrete finish fireplace hearth was finished to seamlessly match the statement wall.
A gorgeous, black-stained, rift-cut oak fireplace surround and storage immediately provided a stunning focal piece in the family room. A new accordion-style slider replaced the original patio doors, creating greater flow into the outdoors while retaining a comfortable and cozy atmosphere.
Modern and Contemporary Living Room
The living room retained much of its original charm and character, with a paneled wood-burning fireplace and white stacked brick, and textured carpet flooring for lounge days with the whole family.
