Pride in Workmanship,
Pride in Our Team
Twin Lions believes in the maxim that you’re only as good as the people with whom you surround yourself. We’re firm believers in nurturing a family-first environment not only with our own employees but with our team of architects, engineers, designers and sub-trades as well as our clients and the community at large. We have gathered together more than 140 years of industry experience on our crew and have built our reputation on local knowledge, expertise and integrity.
We understand that the renovation process can be stressful. That’s why we provide you with transparency, a respectful and approachable crew and a clean and safe worksite that minimizes any undue stress. Twin Lions promotes and supports a good working atmosphere and team dynamic that comes across in everything that we do and through every client that we serve.
We realize that when you put your trust in us we’re not only representing you but your local neighbourhood and community. It’s important to us that we always honour the relationships we’ve built and the reputation that we have earned. We never forget that quality and customer service is paramount. Whatever your unique vision for your home or office, sit back and trust in our team to deliver on time and on budget.
Kevin Hatch founded Twin Lions Contracting in 2010 with the aim of providing not only a full complement of high-quality renovation services but making a commitment to the community in which he was raised and still calls home. A graduate of the BC Institute of Technology’s Red Seal journeyman carpentry program, Kevin managed a number of projects for local construction companies before forming Twin Lions Contracting. When not in the office or overseeing job sites, Kevin can be found on the golf course, the rugby pitch or spending time with his wife Megan and the latest addition of his own – his little daughter Leah.
Much like the majority of the Twin Lions Contracting crew, Ben was born and raised in North Vancouver and has been friends with founder Kevin Hatch for over 20 years. Building on that long-time friendship, Ben began working side-by-side with Kevin at Twin Lions shortly after graduating from the University of Victoria in 2009 and has been with the company since its first project was completed. As Operations Manager, Ben’s philosophy is to ensure and maintain a smooth process for each client by providing his meticulous scheduling, organization and communication skills. When not on site, Ben can be found on the slopes of a number of local mountains or renovating his own home.
Senior Project Manager
The most senior member of the Twin Lions Contracting family, Shawn has called the North Shore home since 1958. He graduated from North Vancouver’s Carson Graham secondary before embarking on a 33-year career with the City of North Vancouver Fire Department. Boasting more than four decades of experience in the industry, Shawn is a lifelong craftsman and true jack of all trades who employs a strict attention to detail and imparts his wealth of knowledge on the job site on a daily basis. Shawn trained and supervised Twin Lions founder Kevin Hatch from the time Kevin first embarked on his career and helped shape his path and craft by sharing his vast knowledge and skill for training up-and-coming workers.
A Deep Cove native, Morgan has been a steady and dependable member of the Twin Lions team since the company’s inception. Initially hired on as a part time labourer, Morgan’s hard work and determination saw him become an apprentice carpenter and eventually a full-time Project Manager, and along the way, he proudly obtained his Red Seal certification as a carpenter. Boasting eight years of training and experience in forming, finishing, engineering and project management at various institutions, and an abiding respect for the environment and his surroundings, Morgan places a premium on not only functionality and design but also sustainability. When not managing job sites, he can be found hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding or boating and taking full advantage of the North Shore’s abundance of natural beauty.
A Red Seal-certified carpenter with more than a decade of experience in the industry, Rob brings a commitment to quality and a dedication to client satisfaction to every job site he manages. He thrives on Twin Lions’ team-forward, all-hands-on-deck approach. A former rugby player and flat-water kayaker who has represented BC at both the Nationals and Canada Games, Rob enjoys building longstanding relationships with every client. He prides himself on providing his seasoned, skillful and steady hands to an ever-changing array of construction and renovation projects. While realizing their renovation dreams is the end goal for each client, Rob knows that in this industry, the journey is every bit as important as the destination.
Like most of the Twin Lions family, Glen is a proud lifelong member of the tight-knit North Shore community. He brings to the job site more than a decade of experience in the industry both at home and abroad. He’s had the unique experience of honing his construction skills in New Zealand, while closer to home he’s worked on a variety of projects up and down Howe Sound including building floating homes for Mosquito Creek Marina in North Vancouver. Beyond providing a veteran voice to each project he helps oversee, Glen is a seasoned team leader who has enjoyed playing rugby at high school, club and provincial levels and coaching various teams in the local community.
