Committed To Our Community
Twin Lions is anchored to our community and strives to give back whenever possible. We firmly believe that when everyone pitches in and gives something of themselves, it makes our community a better place to live and grow. We’re proud to support the following organizations:

Ray-Cam Co-operative Centre Food Wall
In 2013, Twin Lions was proud to help build a vertical food wall to help support the food security program at the Ray-Cam Co-operative Centre, a community hub located in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. Working in conjunction with the Vancouver-based My Arms Wide Open (MAWO) Foundation —which provides support for girls and women in indigenous and aboriginal communities in Vancouver and South Africa — Twin Lions coordinated the design, donation of supplies and construction of a vertical garden wall that provides a seasonal harvest of vegetables that helps support more than 150 families a week.

St. Leonard’s Youth & Family Services
In August 2016, Twin Lions renovated a small office and common area at St. Leonard’s Youth & Family Services that was being under-utilized. We opened up a wall, installed new flooring and built wall-length shelving for computers. We also installed barn doors with opaque glass to separate the space and to provide security when the space was closed off. The renovated room now houses a computer lab, art space and a general relaxing and creative area for youth and staff.

The Capilano Rugby Football Club
Located at Klahanie Park in West Vancouver and formed in 1969, the not-for-profit Capilano Rugby Football Club is the largest rugby club in North America. Twin Lions has long been a sponsor of this local organization. We were happy to donate our time, supplies and expertise to help the club construct a new bar during a recent large-scale renovation and upgrade of the clubhouse. Twin Lions also sponsors the championship Capilano Cougars Rugby League team.

Movember Initiative for Men’s Health
Each fall the Twin Lions crew helps raise awareness of and funds for men’s health issues by proudly participating in the Movember Campaign, which is organized by the Movember Foundation —a global charity committed to helping men lead happier, healthier and longer lives. Every November our crew puts down the razors for 30 days and grows out our moustaches for a good cause. Since 2014 we have raised more than $14,000 for this worthy initiative.

Talk At The Top
We were thrilled to hear that Talk at the Top was a huge success, providing students with tangible skills to lead mental health change in their communities.

North Shore Sports
Kevin and Ben experienced first-hand the value of sports in the community, especially the important role it plays in youth health and wellness. As kids, they loved playing a number of different school and community sports – and they’re still playing as adults. All the Twin Lions crew are big believers that participating in organized sport, especially team sports, can build character and teach values and life lessons that youth can use in their teenage years and beyond. Two of the local teams that Twin Lions recently supported by sponsoring their team jerseys are the Capilano Cougars Rugby team and the Sentinel High School rugby teams.
